THE MACHRIE HOTEL APPOINTS IAN FERGUSON AS GENERAL MANAGER
The Machrie is delighted to announce the appointment of Ian Ferguson as General Manager. Ian joins The Machrie team with over 30 years of experience as a leader in the hotel, golf and sports industries in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Most recently, Ian held the position of General Manager at Dundonald Links for over seven years where he expertly managed the hotel and golf operations. Prior to this, Ian was Director of Hospitality for four years at Loch Lomond Golf Club, one of the finest private member golf clubs in the world. With his extensive golf and hotel experience, Ian will further elevate The Machrie’s guest experience and continue to drive awareness, and revenue, for one of Scotland’s leading properties.
Recently, The Machrie’s championship golf links ranked as 75th in the world at the Golf World’s Top 100, and listed as one of Condé Nast Traveller’s Top 30 UK hotels in the prestigious Readers’ Choice Awards, The Machrie is one of Scotland’s most loved, and respected, golf properties. Ian’s impressive career span across both the hotel and golf industries ensures that his new position at The Machrie is the perfect fit.
